The Epic Newlywed Adventure: Day One

What shall I say about our first day on our epic adventure???

Take a seat, and I'll give you the run-down.

First of all, Matthew and I didn't actually head out of town until about 1p.m. today... We thought it would be around 10a.m., but ohhhh, well. It's our vacation so we can leave whenever we feel like it.

Once we got on the road, we made some incredible time. We got through Oklahoma City like it was nothing, and powered through Wichita, Kansas with no problems (even though it was considered rush hour.) I have to admit though... there wasn't much to look at on day one. I mean, no offense to the Great Plains, but it isn't very visually appealing...I did get a few photos though!

Towards the end of our day. Nebraska during rush hour.

Okay, the sunset was absolutely gorgeous though. Matthew kept sneaking peeks out the side windows to see the sunset. We had a wonderful time talking and listening to the radio together. We are quite dorky together.

Also, I found some deep quotes on a bathroom stall and I met a horsey whom I named Charlie :D

Now, we are currently in Grand Island, Nebraska, and we are relaxing. I even got a workout in at the fitness room here at the Best Western! Tomorrow, we will head to Rapid City, South Dakota, and stay there for a day or two so we can see the lovely Mount Rushmore. I'll keep everybody posted at night when I can.
