Hi, there, everyone :)
I apologize for not writing for a couple of days. Let me tell you what went on before we made our way home. Matthew and I went to Utah and stayed in Salt Lake City for a couple of days. I must say: it is such a pretty city. Something about it made it seem very fresh and airy. It really is a cool place. We went and visited one of Matthew's good friends there. We played video games and he took us to a place called Ferguson's Canyon ( I think). Let's start with the good news. It was beautiful there. It was a nice hike.
That hike was a little bit of a struggle for me. The whole trip, I didn't have any terrible altitude sickness until then... I was very sad. It was about 5000 feet in the air, and I was so dizzy and off-balance. I eventually started feeling a little better, and we made our way down towards the car. Of course (because I am Hillary), I found it necessary to twist my ankle, fall, and hit my knees against the ground whilst scraping up my shin. To be completely fair though, I fell with swag. Anyhoo, I ignored it and we went on about our day. I got some braces for my ankle and knee and moved on as we went to City Creek, a really cool outdoor mall downtown in Salt Lake City. Matthew was enjoying himself, hanging out with his buddy. It was a good time.
The next day we started our long journey home. We loved going through Utah. It is just so lovely there, especially during the evening.
When we went through Moab, I got hit with nostalgia because I remember going there as a child. It was so much fun when I was a kid. They still had the same waterslide that I went down at a hotel when I stayed there 10 years ago.
Sadly, our adventure has come to an end. We drove 12 hours yesterday to make it home today. Matthew is happier to be home than I am. I am happy that he is happy. He was a trooper. He drove the whole trip. I had so much fun with him, and we made a lot of great memories, but now it is time to get back to our normal lives. We will continue, however, to have little adventures here at home. We always seem to <3 Until then!

Our Epic Nerdy Newlywed Adventure: Day Fifteen
Hello, everyone!
I am happy to say that I feel well enough to write my blog post tonight! I still feel lethargic and shaky, but I'm doing better today. So let me tell you a little about what we did today.
Let me go ahead and post a couple of photos from yesterday that I didn't get a chance to post earlier.
Today, we got packed and drove off to Arizona to see...

We took a drive through the Grand Canyon which was... grand, to say the least. Matthew has never seen the Grand Canyon in person, and he thought it was beautiful. I won't lie though... it was a bit unnerving to be kind of shaky and weak like I was today, and to be standing near the edge of the largest canyon in the United States (especially with the wind blowing.) Thankfully, I had the hubby to hold onto as I took some pretty photos.
The temperature was around the 80s so it wasn't overwhelming at all. It was quite pleasant. The only complaint I have was how foggy it appeared. It was hard to get photos with a lot of color, but they were still beautiful.
After the Grand Canyon, we drove off into the desert. There is nothing that compares to an Arizona sunset. The sun sends off this warm glow that makes the desert look like embers from a fire. It's one of my favorite things about Arizona. It creates a very peaceful ambiance.
Now we are innnnnnnn
Tomorrow, we are going to head to Salt Lake City. I hope to be feeling 100% by tomorrow so I can have fun. Until then!

Our Epic Nerdy Newlywed Adventure: Day Fourteen
So I am writing this post out on my hubby's phone while we are driving. I feel kind of sad that this is such a late post, and there aren't any photos to go with it; but I am happy that technology on a phone provides me with the opportunity to even write a post on a phone.
Yesterday was a wonderful day. We had a lovely breakfast in the hotel room and went to the Cosmopolitan pool to get our tan on (or me, at least.) That was the first time the whole trip that the pool actually felt refreshing since it was so hot outside. After the pool, Matthew and I went to go meet one of Matthew's friends who lives in Las Vegas. I was happy that my boy got to spend some time with a good buddy of his.
Now, before I continue, let me tell you that I only have two idols in my life. That is it. Well, I had the opportunity yesterday to see one of them. Matthew and I saw Celine Dion at Caesar's Palace last night. I cannot express how excited I was to hear and see the woman who had inspired me as a young girl to practice my singing. Matthew had already seen her so be knew what he was going to see. She was... I wish I could explain it. When she sang "My Heart Will Go On" I was tearing up. I am man enough to say it. She was too beautiful. I was so happy by the end of the night.
Unfortunately, the night didn't end on a good note. I have been feeling a bit icky the past couple of days and last night was pretty bad. I had a terrible headache and was vomiting the worst I ever have. Hence, I didn't write my post last night.
I am feeling a bit lethargic and shaky today, but I hope it will pass soon. Tonight I will post another post about what we are doing today. I am pumped to show some photos of the lovely view we will see today. Until tonight!

Our Epic Nerdy Newlywed Adventure: Day Thirteen
WE ARE IN LAS VEGAS :D
First off, we left Sonora, California, and decided to take a route north of Yosemite Nat. Park through the Sonora Pass. Let me tell you: we were over 9000 feet above sea level and there was a 26% grade at some points while we were driving.
Only time will tell about how we will spend tomorrow. All I know is is that I am excited to find out what's in store! Until then! :D
First off, we left Sonora, California, and decided to take a route north of Yosemite Nat. Park through the Sonora Pass. Let me tell you: we were over 9000 feet above sea level and there was a 26% grade at some points while we were driving.
The area was a bit intimidating to drive down, but the air was cool (59 degrees, at one point) and the scenery was appealing to the eyes. We also drove past this gorgeous lake that looked like the Pacific Ocean to me. I wish I could have gotten better photos of it. They didn't do the lake justice...
After a long drive through the desert, we finally made it to our destination for the evening!
LAS VEGAS!!!
And we have a couple of nights boooooooooooked...
Let me show you around the place a little bit :)
I couldn't help showing off the room a little bit... I mean, it even has a dishwasher in it. I think that is pretty cool. This is easily the prettiest hotel I have ever stayed at.
After we checked in, Matthew and I went to a restaurant called D.O.C.G. It's in the hotel, and the food was spectacular. Matthew said it was the best steak he has ever had, and I had something called Gnudi. We had a wonderful dinner. After that, we walked around the strip a little bit! I even did a little bit of gambling tonight.
